I just have to post a video I took of Abbie last Sunday July 22nd. We were over my Mom and Dad's hanging out on the deck watching Abbie play in her pool. She decided to show us how she could count and jump. This video is just too cute. My friend Hannah says I should send it to America's Funniest Videos and make us (me and her) some money. Everyone who has seen it has given it two thumbs up!

Sunflower Field
Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe

I have almost forgot to blog about our trip to Emerald Pointe in Greensboro, NC. On Saturday July 7th me, Michael, Abbie and my sister Courtney took a day trip to the water park. What an experience!!! Abbie screamed her head off at first. She wouldn't even step in 2 inches of water without throwing a fit. While Michael and Courtney went off to ride some slides I took Abbie to the kiddie area. I eased her into baby slides, mushroom waterfalls and baby pools. When her Daddy and Aunt Cuckoo came back we went on the Lazee River. Abbie LOVED it! Courtney then took her on a child size water slide called Scooter Run. As they were in line I had this bad feeling that she was gonna scream and cry on her way down. To my surprise, she loved it and ended up riding it like 6 times in a row!!! We ended up having a pretty good time. Next time though, we plan to go during the week when there's not as many people.

First Dentist Appointment
On Thursday July 19th Abbie had her teeth cleaned for the first time! Tonya, my hygienist friend at work cleaned them for her. Up until 2 weeks before, she wanted me to do it. That all changed when Abbie went to Tonya's to see her flying squirrel, lizard, cat and dog! But that's ok I was happy to have Tonya be the first to clean her teeth. She started out by getting a panoramic x-ray (picture as we like to call it) taken so we could see all of her teeth. She is already growing 6 year molars and she has her 12yr. molar buds forming already! Then Tonya polished, flossed, and did a Strawberry Fluoride Treatment. When it was time to floss Abbie told Tonya that "her mommy had some of that at home". Anyway she had a great time, got some really cool prizes and had no cavities!!!

Silly bath time!
One of Abbie's favorite things to do is play in the bath tub! She likes to pretend she's a baby dolphin and when her Daddy isn't looking she likes to put her face in the water. He is scared of her drowning--not that I am not. I tend to let her get away with more which might be the r
eason she doesn't listen to me very well and take me seriously when I try to discipline her! :)
Cabbage Patch Kid
Last fall, the Bonnie Plant Company delivered cabbage plants to Abbie's daycare. Jana, her teacher told us to take all we wanted so we took about 7. Since we have our house for sale Michael decided against planting a garden this year. We brought the plants to my Dad's for him to put in his garden(he has a nice, big garden). The other week he called and said Abbie's cabbage was ready to be picked. The cabbage head was so big she needed help holding it!

Awesome Fireworks Show
Abbie ready for the show! Two thumbs up with Aunt Cuckoo * Spectacular*
Papaws Girl
On Sunday July 1st my Mom, Dad, Courtney, Abbie and myself went to see the fireworks show at my parents church-Westport Baptist in Denver. We started out doing what I love best--eating. We had hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans and chips. YUMMY! We then went to mingle amongst the crowd of people and let Abbie play on the playground. It was really great to catch up with folks I haven't seen in a while. At around 9 p.m. the show started. We were front row so we had a great view! Abbie was a little scared of the fireworks thinking they were going to "land on us" as she put it. She also thought they were too loud! Nevertheless, we all agreed it was a GREAT show. Can't wait till next year.

Welcome to the family Sophia Elizabeth Job!
Me holding baby Sophie
Cayden, Taylor and Abbie telling Sophie secrets
Big sister Taylor showing off her new sister
Abbie is so proud not to be the youngest anymore!
On Friday June 29th our family welcomed a new addition! Sophia Elizabeth was born at 5:29p.m at Catawba Vally Medical Center in Hickory, NC. She weighed 7 pounds. Her parents are John and Leisa, Michael's brother and sister-in-law. Abbie is so excited to have a new baby cousin! Sophie's big sister Taylor calls her Soapie which everyone thinks is soooooo cute. Poor Sophie had a nickname before she was a day old!
We went to visit her on Saturday. Abbie had a great time meeting her new cousin and visiting with her other two cousins Taylor(the big sister) and Cayden. Abbie, Taylor and Cayden were all three born the same year. Cayden-April 2003, Taylor- September 2003, and Abbie-October 2003.

A farewell to VBS
At my last post which seems like a very LONG time ago, I wrote about VBS at our church. WOW! What a week! My class was a group of about 15 2 and 3 year olds. There is such a big difference between those ages. Potty trained and not! :) We had a wonderful, yet exhausting week! We ate, potted seeds, did crafts and played games. My co teacher, Heather was a wonderful storyteller and I thank God for her so much.

and learning our Bible story.

WHAT A GREAT WEEK!
Unfortunately, when Abbie found out there was an end to Bibleschool at her church she was a little upset. So, I decided to let her go to Bibleschool at the church where she goes to daycare. She was there with a lot of friends from daycare. The theme was different (Avalanche Ranch) so she was learning new things and doing different crafts. She had a blast! And I got some much needed rest even though I had to drop her off and pick her back up after it was over. Below are some pictures of Family night on Friday June 29th.
